We carefully dyed the textured momigami Washi with soil from the sacred mountains of Iwakuni City, Yamaguchi Prefecture—our sisters’ hometown.
Upstream from the clear waters of the Nishiki River, over which the famous Kintaikyo Bridge spans, lies a quiet region of sacred mountains, preserved and protected for generations. The soil collected from these mountains gives this card case its unique color and energy.
The combination of momigami Washi’s distinctive texture with a fragment of the Earth—soil and volcanic materials—creates a one-of-a-kind piece that cannot be found elsewhere.
Its simple form conveys understated elegance, while the natural soil imbues the card case with the energy of its origin.
