This card case is crafted from Inshu Washi, a traditional hand-made Japanese paper produced by skilled artisans in Aoya, Tottori Prefecture.
It allows you to directly experience the beauty and texture of Japan’s centuries-old Washi-making tradition.
The precious Washi paper is carefully dyed using kuroboku soil from the foothills of Mount Daisen.
Mount Daisen, the largest volcano in the Chugoku region, is surrounded by land formed through ancient volcanic activity. This area is rich in kuroboku soil, a rare volcanic soil highly valued worldwide.
We are grateful to local ceramic artists for sharing this precious earth, which we then use to dye the Inshu Washi.
The unique texture of momigami Washi combined with fragments of the Earth—soil and volcanic materials from specific regions—creates a truly one-of-a-kind piece.
Simple in form yet refined in presence, this card case carries a quiet sense of luxury.
